Who We Are?
Soroptimist International South Africa is part of a global volunteer movement, Soroptimist International (SI) that work together to transform the lives of women and girls.
Soroptimist International’s network of around 72,000 club members in 121 countries works at a local, national and international level to Educate, Empower and Enable opportunities for women and girls.

Soroptimists transform the lives and status of women and girls through education, empowerment and enabling opportunities.

To be the voice of Women and girls in South Africa and ensure they will achieve their individual and collective potential, realise aspirations and have an equal voice in creating strong, peaceful communities worldwide.
What makes our organization unique?
OUR GLOBAL ADVOCACY & UN CONSULTATIVE STATUS
As part of a Global Network of like minded women Soroptimist International South Africa the heart of Soroptimist International’s advocacy its work across seven United Nations Centres, in which twenty-one Representatives ensure that the voices of women and girls around the world are included in international decision making.
The current priority area of focus is the Sustainable Development Goals, which the UN set in 2015 as the agenda for the next 15 years, concentrating on Goal 4 – Education and Goal 5 – Gender Equality, and other areas that relate to women’s empowerment.
